Nick's 15+ years of experience and calm, considered approach ensures that his Clients enjoy the benefits of his extensive knowledge and specialist advice. Importantly, Nick's collaborative approach, along with his kind and progressive leadership style, drives the culture here at Green Wave Accountants and empowers the entire Green Wave Team to strive for the same outstanding results for it's Clients. Nick is committed to the continual evolution of Green Wave Accountants in a fast-changing environment and to cementing it's position firmly as an Industry Leader. Away from the business, Nick enjoys playing AFL football and competitive Squash, great dining experiences, travel and spending quality time with friends and family.

JENNENE MAIMUR
Jennene joined Green Wave in 2022 as Internal Finance & Operations Manager and with over 35 years experience in Finance, Operations and Business Management, brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the Green Wave Team. With a hands on, inclusive approach and a bold work ethic, Jennene supports the business across a broad range of areas including HR, Internal Finance, Marketing, Process Review & Management and is also dedicated to ensuring that Green Wave Accountants is not only a successful and thriving business, but an awesome place for both the Green Wave Team & our fantastic Clients! Outside of work, Jennene's passions are her garden, long walks and spending time with all the special people in her life!

NEWELL LOCK (FCA)
Newell founded the business in 1985, then known as Newell, Lock & Co. and established himself firmly as a leader in the field of Entertainment Accounting & Advice. Newell provides professional consulting to clients nationally and internationally and assists in mentoring and passing on his incredible knowledge to the rest of the Team. Having sold the business to Nick in 2018, Newell now consults to Green Wave clients and still spends many hours with the Team delivering highly creative and exceptional solutions. Newell is highly respected by Clients and Team alike and provides many a moment of hilarity in the Office - especially during social activities. We are extremely fortunate that Newell remains with Green Wave Accountants in his capacity as Consultant, Mentor and as the larger than life character that he is.

TED SAVAGE (FCPA)
Ted is a Certified Practicing Accountant (Fellow) with more than 30 years Accounting, Tax and Commercial experience. He has vast technical knowledge and has consulted in public practice to a diverse range of SME's and Clients in the Services sector. At Green Wave Accountants, Ted takes on some of our most complex work, is highly committed and applies his skills to deliver outstanding outcomes for each and every Client. As an integral part of the Leadership Team at Green Wave, Ted's insights help to steer the ship and his generous mentorship of the Graduate Accountants coming through the ranks is Gold! Quite often the first to arrive at the Office and the last to leave, Ted's work ethic is unquestionable. Combine this with his wisdom and skill - this means, of course that Ted's Clients are in the very best of hands!

LEANNE NIXON
Leanne is a highly experienced member of the Green Wave Team, having worked in the finance industry for many years. Leanne is Head of Bookkeeping at Green Wave and manages this busy and highly productive area of the Business, and along with the Bookkeeping Team, assists Clients to take charge of the Bookkeeping functions in their own businesses. From large to small businesses, Leanne has the expertise to help alleviate the burdens of Bookkeeping and the associated compliance obligations of running a business - freeing Clients up to do more of what they enjoy most. And don't we LOVE that! In the Office, Leanne has a calm, industrious aura and we all have a great respect for everything she does. Outside of working at Green Wave Accountants, Leanne enjoys getting away to her rural escape with her family and her dog Ron.

RYAN ELIAS (CPA)
For Ryan, accounting has always been more than numbers! Every day he brings passion for what he does, which translates into the delivery of great results for his valued Clients. As well as this, Ryan has a great rapport with his clients which makes for genuinely rewarding relationships - a cornerstone of how we do things here at Green Wave Accountants! Ryan relishes the complexities of some of our larger Clients, but equally enjoys working with Clients of all sizes and in all areas of the Practice. Always sporting a warm and infectious smile, Ryan is a lively participant in Office culture and always takes the time to check in on the Team to see how everyone is doing. Outside of his work, Ryan is passionate in his support for the Carlton Blues (The Baggers) and enjoys relaxing with friends and family.

ANNETTE TAYLOR (CPA)
Annette is the Head of Business Services at Green Wave. Starting her career over 20 years ago started working in a firm as a receptionist and was noticed for her adept ability for numbers and accounting and was encouraged to pursue her degree and get her CPA(we appreciate her old team for supporting her professional development so we can now have her on our team!). In the office Annette is known for being a giggler and always chatting to everyone to brighten their day but that doesn't stop her from achieving incredible results for her clients. You may be surprised to know Annette has a 3rd Dan in Karate. Her favourite part of her work is working with small businesses and developing strategies to see their businesses explode and succeed. She's the kind of accountant you want on your growing team!

BRENDA CAREY
Brenda is Admin Guru here at Green Wave and another highly experienced member of the Team, having worked here for many years. Brenda or 'B', as she is fondly referred to by most of us here, is incredibly organized and skilled in all things Administration and shares her extremely busy role with Tracie. Together they weave their magic throughout the various administrative interfaces to assist the Tax and Consulting Team with all things ATO, ASIC, SRO and the like. The support provided by the Admin Team is fundamental to the service provided to our Clients and requires the ability to work both quickly and carefully - something Brenda accomplishes every day in the Practice. Brenda is always the life of the party here at Green Wave and all of us feel very fortunate to have her here supporting the Team. Away from the Office, B enjoys keeping fit and healthy, and we LOVE that, because that keeps her springing into the Office ready to face the challenges of every day!

TRACIE PILKINGTON
Admin Guru No.2 - Tracie is another Uber experienced member of Green Wave , having worked in the Administration side of the business for over 12 years. Tracie job shares with her great friend , Brenda and you guessed it, is known affectionately around the Office as 'T'. Tracie brings a calm, pragmatic and "can do" attitude to her role and is ALWAYS ready and willing to jump in and troubleshoot whenever and wherever her valuable knowledge can be utilized. This skill and the way that Trac & Brenda work seamlessly together is such a unique asset to have in the Business and we might all be a bit lost without them! Tracie has a full and colorful life away from the Green Wave Office. She loves to keep fit, travel to exotic places and spend time with her wonderful family and friends.

ADELE DRAKOPOULOS (CPA)
Adele is one of our Senior Accountants and a dedicated & diligent advisor. She prides herself on getting things exactly right and consistently delivers results for her clients on a strategic and operational level. Like every one of our advisors, Adele works collaboratively with the entire Team, ensuring that each of her Clients benefit from the vast knowledge pool here at Green Wave Accountants. Whilst serious about delivering the best possible outcomes for her Clients, Adele has a bubbly, approachable personality and this makes her a joy to work with for both Clients and colleagues. Outside of work, Adele enjoys spending meaningful time with friends and family.

DANIELLE GOLDING (CPA)
Danielle joined Green Wave Accountants in 2024, bringing a strong work ethic and a passion for building trusted client relationships. While she works extensively with music and entertainment clients, she also enjoys supporting businesses and individuals across various industries. Originally from Queensland, Danielle’s love for numbers was inspired by her grandfather, a Chief Maritime Engineer. She began bookkeeping in secondary school and, after earning her degree in Brisbane, started her career in personal and corporate insolvency. In 2014, she transitioned to tax, working with high-net-worth individuals and family groups. Relocating to Melbourne in 2018, Danielle has since focused on clients in the arts, entertainment, and not-for-profit sectors. At Green Wave, she also supports the CFO service, providing performance measurement advisory and business tool integration to help clients achieve their goals. A CPA and active volunteer with the Arts Law Centre, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and competing in ocean swimming events during summer.

KRISTEN HOOD
With a strong financial services background, Kristen, our Senior Bookkeeper at Green Wave, has spent the last seven years specializing in accounting for Managed Trusts. She thrives on problem-solving and takes pride in building friendly, cohesive relationships with her clients. As a qualified Accountant, you can be confident that having Kristen in your corner for all of your Bookkeeping needs, you can rest easy about having this part of your business in great shape! Beyond numbers, Kristen enjoys staying active through swimming, rowing, and meditation. A fun fact—she’s an identical twin and once appeared on Millionaire Hotseat! In the office, she’s known for her warm, personable approach, a genuine smile and a positive ‘can-do’ approach to everything she does. And don’t be surprised if she tempts the team with some homemade baked treats—she believes good food is the ultimate social sweetener!

SOPHIA ESPINO
First and foremost, Sophia is passionate about the financial services industry. Ever since graduating high school she has been both curious and determined to learn all she can about Finance and Accounting. To that end, Sophia has since graduated as an Accountant and joined the Team here at Green Wave in 2022. As a Graduate Accountant, Sophia immediately dedicated herself to absorbing as much knowledge as possible from the experience she has access to here at Green Wave Accountants and through diligence and impressive work ethic, has quickly developed a level of competence beyond her years. Thanks to 'Yoda' Ted and the other Senior Managers here, Sophia is flying along with her Accounting Career and competently and carefully applies herself to looking after her Clients needs. Sophia works so quietly that we sometimes can't tell she is in the Office, but make no mistake, she is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to delivering outcomes for Clients & stakeholders! Outside of work Sophia's super power is singing Karaoke and she also loves spending time with her two dogs.

TRAVIS WELCH
Travis is one of our Bookkeepers at Green Wave. His unique journey from chef to bookkeeper brings with it over 25 years of front-line experience in hospitality, including supply chain and logistics. His pathway into finance started in hospitality, where he worked as a Purchasing Manager with Australia’s leading hospitality and boutique butchery group, accountable for cost centre budgets in excess of $5m pa. This role gave him invaluable insights into business operations, supply chain dynamics, and financial management.Travis holds a Xero Advisor certification, and he is currently completing a Certificate in Bookkeeping and Accounting, combining practical experience with formal training to offer tailored bookkeeping services to his clients.His approach is underpinned by a “seek first to understand” mentality developing a deep knowledge of clients’ businesses. Having worked extensively in industry he takes pride in viewing things from the clients’ point of view, providing solutions that truly work, making the day-to-day running of the business, easier. Clients appreciate his approachable manner and his simple yet impactful insights. Travis aims to make bookkeeping not just a service, but a vital support system for growing businesses.Travis is a keen cyclist, a music enthusiast, and loves camping with family and friends.These days Travis’ still enjoy a busy day in the kitchen, but usually as his 8-year-old son’s kitchen hand.

GEORGINA NUGENT
Georgina joined Green Wave in 2024, bringing extensive experience in administration and client support. As a key member of our Administration Team, she plays a vital role in streamlining processes and assisting our Admin Gurus, Brenda and Tracie, to ensure seamless operations.With a warm and approachable demeanor, Georgina is known for her optimistic, can-do attitude and dedication to delivering exceptional service. Her strong organizational skills and proactive approach make her an invaluable asset in creating a positive and efficient experience for both clients and colleagues.Beyond the office, Georgina enjoys expressing her creativity through painting, allowing her artistic side to shine. Her passion for the arts reflects her ability to bring fresh perspectives and creative problem-solving to her work at Green Wave.
